A little about me:

Born in San Jose, CA 1954, moved to El Centro, CA on the Mexican Border

Learned Spanish in school and growing up in California

Served as a Health Missionary in Tahiti (French Polynesia) 1976-1977 Learned French, Tahitian, and some Maori

B.A. Languages (French, Spanish, Tahitian) 1979, Brigham Young University, taught at the Missionary Language Center

Served as an U.S. Air Force Intelligence Officer 1979 -1981, TX, CO, W. Germany

Lived in Germany 1980-1983, learned some German

Taught ESL 1985-1987 GA, 1991 UT, 1998 WA

Raised 4 beautiful brilliant daughters, wonderful son-in-laws, 5 adorable grandchildren

Teaching Certificate K-12 French and Spanish, Weber State University 1997

Taught Middle School French, Spanish, and World Language Exploratory (exploring 8 different languages) for 8 years in WA 1997 - 2005

TESL and Bilingual Education Certificate 2000, Seattle Pacific University

Taught French and Spanish for the Department of Defense Dependent Schools Overseas (DODDS) in South Korea 2005 - 2009, studied Korean

Masters in Global Studies in Education Dec 2006, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

Taught ESL in Chichen Itza, Mexico to Mayan workers at Hotels, summer 2012. 

Taught High School French and Spanish in the Mukilteo, Everett, and Edmonds School Districts, WA 1997 - 2020

Retired from teaching French and Spanish and World Language Department Chair at Everett High School, Everett, WA in 2019

On the Board of WAFLT Washington Association for Language Teaching and Testing Team, served as President 

Played flute for 9 years in the Mukilteo Community Orchestra, WA, I love music, travel, and nature. 

Currently working for Western Washington University supervising student teachers of World Languages as a University Intern Coordinator, UIC.
